Palin - At least she is philosophically consistent

Palin believes life begins at conception. When pressed by Katie Couric she stated her position pretty clearly.  What impressed me (and believe me, not much about her impresses me) is that unlike many, she is philosophically consistent and non-judgmental.  I have no idea how you can believe that a human soul resides in a fetus at conception and still be in favor of abortion in cases of rape or incest. That logic escapes me so  I have to give her kudos for a consistent and coherent position.  She also appeared (and as we all know appearances can be deceiving) to say that she does not judge those who believe differently. Again kudos for compassion and tolerance.  Don’t get me wrong, I don’t believe she should be allowed within a mile of the White House, but in an age of polarization and pettiness, we should give a person credit where it is due and admire someone who will take a principled position and be tolerant of others.
